Julia Child Collection
Photographs of Julia Child taken by Paul Child from the mid-1940's to the mid-1970's. These photos are from the Collections of the Schlesinger Library.
Three major periods of Julia's life are included in the group of photographs: the 1940's, when Julia and Paul first met at the Office of Strategic Services (OSS) in Ceylon; their life in Europe, especially Paris, in the 1950s, during which Julia began her work as a chef, cookbook author and teacher; and their return to the United States, where Julia began her television career on WGBH, the public broadcasting station.
