Anna Eveleth Holman was born in Newton, MA, on July 11, 1892 and died in Concord on April 14, 1965. AEH was graduated from Brookline High School and from Radcliffe College in 1914 with a magna cum laude in English. She was a charter member of the Iota chapter of Phi Beta Kappa. In 1918, she was sent overseas by the War Work Committee of Radcliffe to work with the French Red Cross. She received an Ed.M. from Harvard in 1928 and taught at both Winsor and Dana Hall Schools. AEH had an intense interest in science--and in youth --and served for nearly twenty years on the Massachusetts State Science Fair Commission. (from Holman, Anna Eveleth, 1892-1969.
